First seen on the petitePARADE catwalk during New York Kids Fashion Week, the Pale Cloud Spring Summer 2013 girl’s fashion collection is winging its way as we speak to stores across the world.

Designed by Marion Reynolds from the brand offices in the Swedish countryside, the collection reminds us at fluxlings of Greek princesses or water nymphs, with its floaty chiffon, sheep leather and cashmere yarns. The colour scheme is soft and relaxed ecru, pink and grey shades with highlights of salmon pink, tan and dusty blues.

Pale Cloud is now in its fourth season, and the success of the brand is in its ability to bring style to everyday girl’s fashion. This is not one for romping in the park. Think demure, refined style for young ladies with maxi dresses, tunics, short dresses and cropped pants. The detailing on the collection is just amazing, with gold studs and beautifully subtle prints working with the wonderful fabrics.

It’s not all serious though. The images by Kymberly Marciano show the brand’s fun side, with the clothes complimented by the exaggerated but fun make-up on the young models. They looked so vulnerable on the petitePARADE catwalk. But in front of the camera and away from the audience and the flashes, they’ve relaxed to look like real little girls having fun in pretty dresses.

This season, you’ll be able to find Pale Cloud at Harvey Nichols, ILLUM Copenhagen, and NK Stockholm and online at the lovely Ruby and Kitty. See www.pale-cloud.com for more information.
