St. James’ Court, a Taj Hotel, is offering a bit more than the bare necessities this half term with their Jungle Book adventures! Combinging yoga classes with high tea, the sessions especially for kids will be full of movement, music and story telling, and are the latest initiative in the hotel’s English Classics Reinvented campaign.
The 30 minute Jungle Book yoga adventure with kids’ yoga specialists, Tatty Bumpkin, will take children for a walk on the wild side, meeting some favourite characters from the Jungle Book, including Kaa the Snake and Baloo the bear. They will also be taught the corresponding yoga “asana” (position) for each animal. Designed to encourage children to unleash their imagination, have fun, enhance creativity and aid physical development, the Jungle Book Yoga will be split into two age groups: aged three to five and five to seven.
The adventure continues as mini-Mowglis and family are invited to indulge in the Jungle Book Afternoon Tea that goes above and beyond the bare necessities with treats including, Baloo’s Himalayan Honey Macaroons, Shere Khan’s Masala Chai Eclairs and Mowgli’s Jungle Pink Gauva & Sweet Basil Jelly.
The Jungle Book Yoga Experience will take place on 24th, 28th and 29th October (£29.50 per child and £35 per adult with £1 per admission donated to The Born Free Foundation’s tiger conservation work in India). Price includes a 30-minute yoga session and a Jungle Book afternoon Tea.
