We had tears this year in the fluxlings household when there was no snow in the winter months. So accustomed have we become, located in the Pennine foothills, to a luxury of snow around Christmas time the kids were bereft. So in an attempt to fill the gap left by lack of snowman building and sledging we are preparing for a visit to Manchester’s Chill Factore.
Boasting the UK’s longest real snow slope, the activities are great fun from the Luge Ice Slide and Tubing for the bigger ones, to sledging and snow play for the little ones. There’s skiing and snowboarding too, with lessons for the beginners or the less experiences.
We’ve always had a great time when we’ve visited in the past, with the little ones delighted by the snow play and sledging. It is truly freezing in there so you get a real sense of the snowy winter months. But so long as you take advantage of the arctic gear that’s available to hire you’ll go home without any frostbite!
Over Easter this year Chill Factore has a great Kids Go Half Price offer which provides unlimited half price kids tickets for every full paying adult. The offer is available with Snow Park Passes, Lift Passes and Fun Taster Ski and Snowboard Lessons. Plus there are Easter Kids Camps if you can’t get time off work which is a brilliant treat to occupy the kids for a day.
So throw on your snow boots and experience some Easter thrills with the white stuff! We highly recommend.
Chill Factore is at the Trafford Quays Leisure Village (alongside the Trafford Centre), Manchester. For online booking, kids go half price with a full price paying adult until 27th April. For bookings and more information visit www.chillfactore.com or call 0843 596 2233.
