Just because you’ve got kids does not mean you have to hang up your clubbing hat. With Big Fish Little Fish family raves it’s a new-old thing.
Family raves are all the rage; and the Big Fish Little Fish crew are leading the way. From their roots in Brixton in 2013, they are now running their fun events across London and the South East, and also at festivals like Camp Bestival, Kendal Calling, Out With The Family and the London Electronic Arts Festival. And it’s a growing craze with regular events now held all over the country in cities from Exeter to Edinburgh.
We went along to the last Manchester event held at the iconic Factory night club – that seasoned clubbers will recognise as the old Factory records headquarters reincarnated as Paradise Factory before its current incarnation. It’s pretty much just the same inside, so this is definitely one for anyone looking for a nostalgia trip.
The event was a great hit with our younger ones. The dancefloor manned by former Hacienda resident Tom Wainwright was packed, the atmosphere chilled and fun, and with plenty of activities to break up the dancing the two and half hours flew by. Highly recommended!
Check out Big Fish Little Fish for events in a city near you! But beware – the events sell out fast, so it’s well worth signing up to the newsletter to get advance notice. Here’s some that you can still get tickets for.
