The Joolz’ Day3 is designed to be smarter and easier bringing style, comfort and improved ergonomics together in one design. With Joolz’ goal to make happy parents and happy children, it’s all about being making it easy in style.
Travel systems are the holy grail for parents of new babies. It’s about everything working together; the carrycot for the newborn, the pushchair, the wheels, the carseat, the protection, where to put your shopping! The other important thing of course is that it looks cool – afterall you’re the one going to be pushing it on the school run, around town or on country walks every day for the next – well two or three years perhaps!
Joolz have all this covered with the predecessor to their well received Day2 system, the Day3. If you get the full package you get a chassis that can hold your carry-cot, comfortable seat, and car-seat – one at a time of course! There’s the ubiquitous harness, and an XL shopping basket, and of course accessories are available from footmuffs to cup holders. The style feels exclusive without being ostentatious. Cool and understated.
We tried the Day3 with our lovely new baby niece from when she was newborn. It’s fair to say we are loving just about everything about the Day3. First up its four wheels! We’re not fans of three wheeler prams – feels like we’re going to tip over when you have cobbles or hills to negotiate! With the Day3 the chunky wheels at the back and smaller ones at the front mean it’s a super smooth, stable ride, and the front wheels make for easy steering. You can lock the wheels if you need to too. We’ve taken it on some challenging walkabouts which it tackled with no problems at all – you can really go anywhere feeling safe and secure with baby in the Day3.
The next great thing about Joolz Day3 is that is is so lightweight, but still feels sturdy and steady which is great especially when you’re feeling nervous taking those first trips out. It folds really easily too, and is compact when folded easily fitting into the boot of the car, or for upright storage inside.
The carrycot is spacious, giving the luxury of lying baby on their on their back when they are very young. We enjoyed being able to unzip the fabric at the head end of the carrycot to provide more ventilation for baby on hot days or in our case at this time of year, when using the carrycot inside. There’s also a useful extension to the hood to give extra shade on sunny days.
The car seat is very compact and the head rest, which can be removed as they get older, is great for supporting littler heads. The change from stroller to car-seat is effortless, with the carseat slotting easily into the back of the car.
Style wise, you get to choose your Day3 in a range of colours from neutral camel beige, to greys like graphite grey or elephant grey. There are also brighter options like parrot blue. Frames come in brushed silver metal and black or all black. The fabric adds to the exclusive feel of the Day3 with its handcrafted, double-stitched details. As we said before, it’s exclusive without being ostentatious. Cool and understated.
Overall, we are super impressed with the Joolz Day3! And baby seems to love it too. We highly recommend you check it out when choosing your set of wheels!
