After a big search by Warner Brothers to find Peter Pan for its new film about the origins of the J. M. Barrie classic character, ‘Pan’, newcomer Levi Miller won out to play the title role. And Miller will also be kept busy as the film premiere comes close as brand ambassador for Ralph Lauren Kids and the face of their AW15 campaign.
Starring in the upcoming Warner Bros. film, Levi brings with him the spirit of adventure and whimsy. The film charts the origins of Peter’s life in Neverland and the discovery of his destiny as Peter Pan. Released in October, it features Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, and Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily alongside the 12 year old Miller.
The AW2015 Ralph Lauren Children’s campaign was inspired by the story’s sense of exploration. Shot by Jeff Vallee in New York City, the primary location was the tall ship Peking at the South Street Seaport. Built in 1911, the same year the classic novel Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie was published, the ship provided the perfect backdrop for a season of signature styles influenced by the beat of contemporary fashion mixed with a little fantasy.
Stripes, plaids, cosy layers and city-inspired silhouettes usher in back to school fashion this year. Key pieces for boys include sporty styles like jogger pants and vintage-style baseball jackets.
For girls, feminine dresses and signature tartan contrasts with leather moto pieces and crisp black and white.
Tying into the theme of Pan, Levi made an appearance at the 2015 Ralph Lauren Children’s Fashion Show, where he walked the runway and guests got to experience A Night in Neverland, at the Central Park Zoo, New York.
