Dressing up in the beautiful clothes hanging in their mother’s wardrobe is a dream come true for little girls, and has wonderful memories for many of us grown ups too.
Amsterdam label, My Little Dress Up, have taken that magic and turned it into an adorable collection of party dresses and clothes for girls age 2 to 10 (with some equally addictive pieces for boys in there too!).
Their modern style mixed with mid-century notions of glamour has not been missed by Selfridges. The Oxford Street luxury retailer has selected the AW13 collection to create a very exclusive My Little Dress Up Pop-Up Salon open from now until the end of December.
This is very exciting news for the My Little Dress Up team, and also for lovers of children’s style. You can now browse the girls’ party dress collection in person, and drool over outfits that retains a distinctly modern style, whilst being inspired by the inheritance of the late fifties avant-garde. Always embodying the playful spirit of “dressing up”, for a perfect fit, My Little Dress Up works with professional pattern makers and a high-end atelier to ensure the highest quality.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to admire the boys’ collection – which is equally exquisite – from afar for now, but you can always get your hands on that online.
The My Little Dress Up Pop Up Salon is open now at the children’s department at Selfridges, Oxford Street, London and will be there until the end of December.
