Perfect for boys and girls who love to stand out from the crowd, MadPax are the most wonderful kids backpacks designed for school or just for fun.
Available in the UK for the first time, the US backpack brand was created in Phoenix Arizona in 2011. Says founder, Tina Huber, “MadPax was founded on one key principle – to create 3D inspired, progressively modern backpacks for kids of all ages.”
The backpacks are funky, vibrant and made to be noticed with their geometric bumps and spikes. The Spiketus Rex is part dinosaur and part mad scientist covered with soft spikes. The Bubble is covered in semi-rigid, semi-circles that literally pop out from the body of the backpack and finally Blok, that will be loved by LEGO and Minecraft devotees with its cubic profile. The colours available are fantastic, from solid brights to neutrals to crocodile skin prints.
We’ve got two Spiketus Rex MadPax for the fluxlings and they’ve had non-stop use since we got them. Stylewise, the kids are thrilled with them, and they always provide a talking point. The small backpack is sized to be perfect for smaller kids, but is also great as a general purpose carrying machine for swimming, school PE kits or days out. The biggest pack is great for overnights getting its first and very proud use for Brownie camp!
The stand out thing, other than the style, is how well made MadPax are. The backs and straps are padded so they can be carried comfortably, and the materials are great quality. The straps are adjustable too, enough so for an adult to carry the bag when the little one hands it over at the end of the day. The bigger bags have side pockets for easy access, and they all have inner zippered pockets. The bags keep their zany shapes even after a lot of use.
We’re loving MadPax this autumn for style, quality and functionality. Great for school or for an original Christmas pressie!
MadPax kids backpacks are available at Schuh Kids and www.madpaxworld.com from £12 to £60.
