‘Star Wars’ Gets Lego Retelling On Disney XD

The Star Wars movies have had a Lego re-telling in time for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, and the series will be shown on Disney XD in the build up to the galaxy wide opening of the new movie in December.

‘Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales’ is an animated take on the six Star Wars movies. But it is not just Star Wars in 22 minutes.

The animations retell the entire Saga from the perspective of R2-D2 and C-3PO. Episodes will be aired on a monthly basis leading into the hotly-anticipated release of Episode VII this December. The first episode will retell The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, with episode two focussing on The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith, and A New Hope.  The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi get their own dedicated episode.

The five 22-minute episodes will air later this year. Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens galaxy-wide in time for Christmas on December 18.
