Family travel made easy to North Devon

Selecting a hotel for a family holiday can be a tricky decision. Some of the places you might choose to visit if you were child-free suddenly don’t seem as attractive with children in tow.

Add to that the trials and tribulations of packing, family travel and space when you get there.

So anything that makes the process easier is very welcome. Which is why this great idea from Devon’s Saunton Sands hotel caught our eye at fluxlings. The hotel is already really well geared towards families, with a choice of rooms and apartments, activities and child care all set above a stunning stretch of sand near Braunton.

The hotel’s newest addition to its family friendly run down is the Baby-Go-Lightly service. Removing the daunting task of packing to take babies on holiday and the worry of forgetting something vital, guests can complete a tick sheet of what equipment they need before arrival, and all the items will be in their room on waiting for them. Just some of the things you can request include a child buggy with sunshade, baby bouncing chair, carrier pouch for walking the South West Coast Path, steriliser, formula, kettle, changing mat, nappies, nappy bin, potty, baby wipes, toilet training seat, baby bath, baby shampoo, baby powder, baby lotion, swimming nappies, swimming flotation aids, crayons and colouring books….in fact I can’t think of anything much else myself!

Just think how much space you could save in a car already packed with luggage and people! Anything to contribute to a relaxing, stress free holiday sounds good to us.
