Festivals are increasingly catering for families, and one of the best family festivals is the whimsically named Elderflower Fields Festival.

Completely designed as a festival with young kids in mind, the programme allows parents to relax in the knowledge that their kids are not only looked after but learning new skills from Frisbee throwing, martial arts and dance classes.

Located at a new venue for 2014, Ashdown Forest in Sussex, the Elderflower Fields Festival runs early in the summer from 23rd-26th May. With urban woods, sports camps, creative arts workshops and the new teen chill out zone all on site, it’s not all the kids either with more than 40 bands on two stages, a woodland spa, cocktail bar and family picnic zone with locally produced Sussex fare on offer.

Tickets are on sale now, with some great early bird offers for December bookings. So if you’re after an alternative Christmas gift for all members of the family, tickets for this lovely family festival may be a good option.

Camping is included in the ticket price at Elderflower Fields and there will be spacious, designated campsites close to the action, giving kids a taste of the great outdoors but with all facilities close by. Glamping options are availble.

Adult Weekend Tickets £105 (Super Early Bird £85, Early Bird £95); Child Weekend Tickets £50 (Super Early Bird £40, Early Bird £45; Under 5s go free.

Tickets are available at www.elderflowerfields.co.uk/tickets. Also follow at @ElderflowerFest or www.facebook.com/elderflowerfields for updates.
