Clarks are one of those brands that you return to time and again for kids shoes. With a deserved reputation for comfort and durability, the queues in the weeks preceding the return to school are inevitable. And of course the kids love to take their turn on the automatic measuring machine in stores!

But outside school shoes, Clarks are also producing some pretty fine fashion collections that are always looking at kids trends whilst retaining the fit and comfort they are famous for. The new 2012 collection of kid’s winter shoes for boys and girls takes its influence from urban cities to rural gatherings.

The brand has its roots in rural Somerset, and has developed its shoemaking heritage in London and that mix is visible in the styles coming out of the shoemaker’s design studio this year. We’re particularly liking the style contrasts in the boots where you can take you pick from a sneaker inspired high top with hiking laces in brown leather or with fur surround. Or there are the classic Diggy leather boots in black, and the tomboy style of the Kelpie for the girls in grey suede with a great buckle and a lovely soft fur lining. Also loving the Love Berry pink suede boots with woven tops and the cruisers for bump about boys.

The palette is neutral with flashes of electric blue and pink, in a fun collection that’s well worth taking a look at now you’ve got the school shoes out of the way for another few months! The range makes you really look forward to the winter months, with snug little feet kicking about in great piles of yellow and gold leaves and stood around bonfires with sparklers and hot sausages.

Clarks autumn winter shoes for kids are available in Clarks stores and at www.clarks.co.uk.
